The six Youd brothers, who all served and survived, were Carl , Samuel , Horace , Thomas, Frederick and Percy
Born in Frodsham in 1885, at the time of the 1911 census, Thomas lived at the above address with his wife, Ada, and children Reginald (3) and Mildred (1). He was 26 years old and worked as an Electrical Machinist at the Wire Works.
When pictured in the Prescot Reporter, the caption reported that he had been wounded at Armentieres. Despite this, I have been unable to confirm any details of his military service.
