The six Youd brothers, who all served and survived, were Carl , Samuel, Horace , Thomas , Frederick and Percy
Samuel was included in the Prescot Reporter list of men serving the colours which was published in May 1915. He was the brother of Horace Youd and Carl Youd.
He was entitled to the British War Medal and Victory Medal.
