11 Duke Street, Prescot 5th Bn., South Lancashire Regiment Born in Prescot in 1881 and one of three brothers who served, the other two being William (Billy) and Alfred, the 1911 census shows Henry as being single and living with this parents at the above address. He was employed as a Watch Maker Finisher.
He was included in the Prescot Reporter list in 1915 showing men serving with the colours, listing him with the 5th South Lancs.
No details of his service have been identified, although the picture below, kindly provided by his great nephew Alan Roughley, shows him in France (seated, front right) with some comrades.
Henry died in Prescot in 1956, aged 75
