8 Rowson St, Prescot Private 4709, 5th Bn., South Lancashire Regiment Charles Beesley was born on 11th february 1892.
He was the second son of Thomas and Emma Jane Beesley, and at the time of the 1911 census, he was listed as a 19 year old Carter, working for a Coal Merchant.
He was 23 years old and a Steam Motor Driver when he attested for service at Prescot on 10th May 1915.
He went to France with his unit on 26th August 1916. Nothing else is known of his service
Charles was entitled to the British War Medal and Victory Medal
