John Blundell served as a pre War Territorial from 18th April 1914 all the way through the war until demobilisation on 16th April 1919. Initially serving with the 2/5th Bn., he later transferred to the 1/5th.
His military service entitled him to the British War Medal, Victory Medal and Territorial Force Medal.
In 1923, he rejoined the military, serving as Private 2559818 with the Royal Engineers. At this time, his address was 84, Warrington Road, Prescot
