12 Hill Street, Prescot King's (Liverpool) Regiment John was born in Prescot on 1886, the son of John and Ann White. In the 1911 census, the family lived at 12, Hill Street where 25 year old John was single and reported his occupation as a Bricklayer's Labourer
John was included in a list of Prescot men serving the colours which was published in May 1915, and it is that list which tells us that he served with the King's (Liverpool) Regiment. No other details of his service have been located.
