7, Bretherton Road, Prescot Gunner 57659, Royal Garrison Artillery 27 year old Thomas was single and working as a Coal Miner when he signed up for military service on 26th October 1915 at St Helens.
He worked with various Artillery units before finally discharge on 5th March 1918, when he was declared physically unfit for military service. I could not determine when he went overseas, but it was not before 1916
He was admitted to the Southern General Hospital at Bristol in January 1917.
Thomas was entitled to the British War Medal and Victory Medal.
He died in Prescot, aged 65, in March 1953
