20 Kemble Street, Prescot Gunner 60961, Royal Field Artillery 25 year old Arthur Kent was a Turner in the Rolling Mill at the Wire Works when he joined the army on 4th December 1915. His mother, Emily, of the same address, was listed as next of kin. He was immediately posted to the Army Reserve and was not mobilised until May of 1918, and shortly after this he was transferred to the Tank Corps at Wareham as Driver 311553.
Then on 10th June 1918, he married Gertrude Smythe at Prescot.
He was transferred to the Class Z Reserve on 19th February 1919, at this time giving a home address in the Dingle, Liverpool. He returned to work at the Wire Works. He does not appear to have served overseas and therefore had no medal entitlement.
