26, Grosvenor Road, Prescot Pte 18736, 3rd Bn., East Lancashire Regiment John was a 20 year old Baker when he joined the army on 26th January 1915 in Liverpool. His next of kin was his wife Lilian (nee Slone) who he had married at Wavertree in September 1914.
He served just 162 days before being discharged on 7th July as being unlikely to make an efficient soldier.
