47, Beaconsfield Street, Prescot Private 4392, 10th Bn., King’s (Liverpool) Regiment On 22nd February 1915, Joseph attested for four years service to the army. He was 29 years old. However after less than six months service, he was discharged on 26th June as being unlikely to become an efficient soldier.
His papers noted his next of kin as his wife, Annie Farrell, though her address was given as 50, Cyprus Street, Prescot.
Joseph was listed in the Parish Magazine report of men of the Bible Class serving the colours.
