Private 1176, Reserve Bn., Lancs Hussars Yeomanry.

The 1911 census records that Thomas was the 23 son on Thomas and Sarah Renshall. He worked as a Labourer in the Copper Rolling Mill at the Wire Works.

On 7th September 1914, Thomas Renshall signed on for four years with the Reserve Battalion of the Lancashire Hussars Yeomanry at Knowsley. He served for just 82 days before being discharged as medically Unfit for service on 27th November.
