Also Served: Brothers Lauder - Brothers LAUDER
The Lauder brothers, originally from Vicarage Place.
The above picture, kindly provided by a member of the family, shows the 4 Lauder brothers in 1952. The occasion was a celebration of the brothers’ combined service with BICC Ltd.
The picture shows (left to right)
William Revell Lauder– Wood Lane, and engineer in Telecommunications Department with 32 years service
Joseph Gordon Lauder – of Derby Cottage who had completed 50 years service and was Plant Superintendent, Power Cables Dept.
James Lauder – St James Road, Eccleston Park, who had 37 years service in Power Cables Dept. James married Ellen Williams in 1924. He died in 1976 in Wilmslow.
Archibald Lauder (seated) – it is not clear how much service Archibald had with the company. He migrated to Canada in 1947 to work for Philips Electrical. He married Ethel Staines.
Service details have been found for Joseph and William, and these are shown on the relevant pages. James was born in 1900 and so does not appear to have served in the Great War. I have been unable to determine if Archibald served or not.
